Southeast FFA offers new Supervised Agricultural Experience

The Southeast FFA chapter started with an anonymously-donated corn planter which students restored into a functional implement to be used in their SAEP program. The chapter began by dismantling the planter to be cleaned. There were a few parts that were fixed, and then everything was re-painted. The trailer used to haul this planter was custom built by the chapter for this specific use. The chapter sponsors the first $50 of sweet corn seed to any member wishing to pursue this opportunity. Harrison Hall is our first participant, having planted about half an acre of sweet corn. The chapter looks forward to watching Harrison’s progress. This is just one of many opportunities open to the members of the Southeast FFA chapter.
